David Boyd is an experienced attorney based in Sacramento, California, providing consulting and expert witness services in the field of attorney professional responsibility and legal ethics, and serving as a neutral mediator or arbitrator in civil cases.

Since 1976, David's civil practice has included representation of both plaintiffs and defendants in complex litigation, including business disputes, construction defect cases, and products liability actions involving aircraft, watercraft, and off-road vehicles, and farm machinery. During the last 25 years, David's trial practice has focused on the defense of attorneys in legal malpractice and related litigation. David is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) and the American Board of Professional Liability Attorneys (ABPLA). He is board certified as a specialist in legal malpractice law by the State Bar of California, Board of Legal Specialization.

David is admitted to practice in California and he has appeared before numerous state and federal courts in the Midwest and western United States. He has received intensive training as a mediator and served variously as a judicial arbitrator, mediator, and settlement conference attorney in disputes before the California Superior Court and the Third District Court of Appeal.
